道具篇

战斧Axe：
Laying in the middle of the path is a perfectly good axe head.Apparently,the owner discarded it when the handle broke.But you simply carve a new handle from a solid tree branch,test it with a few swings,and tuck your new Axe in your belt.
在路中间是一把完美的斧子。显然，主人因为斧柄坏了就把它丢弃。但是当你简单用树枝给它做了把新斧柄，试着挥了挥，然后把你的新斧子别在你的腰间。

锁甲Chain Mail：
At first,when you pick up the abandonded sack you think it's filled with gold,but when you open it you find a perfectly good suit of Chain Mail instead.
最初，你捡起那只遗弃的布袋，以为里面装满了黄金，但当你打开它之后发现里面是一件漂亮的锁甲。

钢甲Plate Mail：
A squire approaches you and hands you a spotless suit of Plate Mail.
"It belonged to my master,"he says angrily,"but he fled the battlefield at the first sign of danger,shaming himself as well as me!"

弩CrossBow：
You arrive just in the nick of time to stop a drunken soldier from smashing his Crossbow over a rock.

"Yes,uh,wouldn't it make them REAL angry if you gave someone like me your weapon instead of breaking it?"you say.
Agreeing,the drunk gives you his Crossbow.
你及时地阻止了一个酒醉的士兵把他的弩在岩石上摔碎。
“他们怎么敢解雇我！我不干了！”他对你大喊道。
“呃，没错，不过如果你不是把武器摔碎，而是把他送给别人可能会让他们更愤怒，不是吗？”你说。

巨剑Great Sword：
Like a trapped animal,a wounded Barbarian jumps from his hiding place and attacks you.He is angry and determined to fight to the death,and there is no time to explain that you mean him no harm.When the battle is over,you bury him,keeping his Greatsword for your trouble.
像一个偷袭的动物，一个受伤的野蛮人从他藏身的地方跳出来攻击你。他怒气冲冲决心战斗到死，没有时间解释你对他没有伤害。战斗结束后，你埋葬了他，留下了他的巨剑。

长弓Longbow：
You spot a lone man,a poacher by the looks of him,running from two men on horseback.Of course,they catch the poacher and drag him to the ground,binding his arms.They throw the criminal over a horse and ride away,but they forgot something.You approach,considering yourself lucky that they left the hunter's Longbow behind.
你发现了一个孤独的家伙，从外表看像是一个偷猎者，他从骑着马的两个人中间跑过。当然，那两个人抓住了他，把他丢到地上，紧抓着他的胳膊。他们把这个罪犯从马背上丢过去，骑着马跑开了，但是他们好像忘记了什么东西。你靠了过去，心里想着，你是多么的幸运，因为他们丢下了猎人的长弓。

As a young soldier passes you on the road,he strips off his Leather Armor and throws it at your feet."I shall never fight again!"he declares.

长剑Long Sword：
Someone has slain a wealthy merchant and left him here in the path with a Longsword still in his back.You remove the sword,examine the plain weapon.Nothing to indicate who might be responsible,but the sword is still true and strong so you keep it.As for the murder,the trail is cold.There is nothing you can do.
有人杀死一个富商，扔在路上，他的背后还插着一把长剑。你解下剑，看看这普通的兵器，没有发现任何线索，它又足够坚硬，所以你留下它。寻找凶手的道路十分渺茫。你无能为力。

法师杖Mage's Staff：
This is the spot where a young adventurer met the hungry jaws of some unknown beast.There isn't much left-just a tattered pointy hat and a Mage's Staff.It couldn't save this poor soul,but perhaps it will do better in your hands.

盾牌Shield：
You catch a glint from the bushes and investigate,finding a discarded Shield.You bang it with your fist a couple times still sturdy.And now it's yours.

You find this odd contraption lost in the brush near an extinguished campfire.You stick the Telescope to your eye and nearly fall over as a distant hill comes right at you.No,the hill didn't move,just your vision.What an ingenious device!

药水篇

绝望烟雾Cloud of Despair:
A weeping man hands you a bottle filled with a Cloud of Despair.
"I took a single whiff of that stuff seven days ago and I haven't been able to stop crying since!"he tells you."You take it!"
一个流泪的人给了你一个装满绝望之云的瓶子。
“我七天前闻了一下里面的东西，结果我就不能停止哭泣！”他告诉你，“你拿走它吧！”

恶魔之火Demon Fire：
A bad morning almost turns into a horrible day when you kick a rock out of your way and nearly blow yourself into a million pieces. You kneel to inspect the bottle you almost hit with the rock,discovering that it is a bottle of Demon Fire.Carefully,you tuck it in your backpack.
一个糟糕的早晨几乎成为可怕的一天。你费尽九牛二虎之力把挡在路上的石头推开后，你跪下去看几乎被石头碰到的瓶子，你发现它是一瓶魔鬼火。于是，你小心地把它放到你的背包里。

圣水Holy Water：
A poor priest is trying desperately to fix the broken wheel on his wagon.Stopping,you help him and soon he is on his way,handing you a Potion of Holy Water as a reward.

寒冷药水Potion of Cold：
The ground at your feet is frozen.As you inspect it,you find several shards of glass in the ice and one intact Potion of Cold.You chip the potion free and place it in your backpack,looking forward to your next chance to warm yourself by a campfire.
你脚下的大地冻结了。你观察后，发现在冰中有一些玻璃碎片和一瓶完整的寒冰药水。你把药剂弄碎后放进了你的背包内，希望下次有机会找到篝火取暖。

耐力药水Potion of Endurance：
you meet an adventurer who has a run of good luck.The two of you exchange stories and drink.As he turns to leave he gives you a Potion of Endurance for being such good company on his long journey.
你遇到了一个运气很好的冒险家。你们两个互相讲述自己的经历并交换饮品。当他要离开时，为了感谢你对他长途旅行的款待，他给了你一瓶耐力药水。

抗火药水Potion of Fire Resistance：
You can't believe your eyes as you spot an old man sitting happily in a bed of glowing coals.Surrounding him are several empty bottles and a few full ones.Not wanting to disturb him you quietly pilfer one of the Potions of Fire Resistance.
你几乎不相信自己的眼睛，你看到一位老人高兴地坐在炽热炭火的床上。他的周围有一些空瓶子和几个满的瓶子。因为不想打扰他，你偷偷地拿走了一瓶抗火药水。

康复药水Potion of Healing：
You arrive just as a pack of wild dogs attack a group of wandering priests.You jump to their rescue,but in the process of fighting off the dogs you take many deep wounds.Afterward,one of the priests gives you a drink of something that tastes like honey.Your wounds disappear!Then he gives you another Potion of Healing as a way of thanking you.
你到来时，一群野狗正在攻击一群牧师。你跳去援助，在和野狗战斗中，你受了很多伤。后来，一个牧师给了你一瓶味道像蜂蜜的东西。你的伤口消失了！做为答谢他又给了你一瓶康复药水。

不朽药水Potion of Immortality：
You come across a circus wagon.Outside,Manny the Undying practices his miraculous sword swallowing act,but you uncover his secret-a potion that keeps him alive no matter the injury.As payment for keeping Manny's secret,he gives you a Potion of Immortality.
你来到一辆大蓬车前。马林在练习他那不可思议的吞剑动作，但是你发现了他的秘密——一种不管伤害多大都能使他复活的药水。做为保守马林秘密的偿还，他给了你一瓶不朽药水。

幸运药水Potion of Luck：
A sleazy-looking merchant has set up shop here by the side of the road.Today,he is selling all sorts of magical potion,but as you study them you realize he is a fraud.You grab the man's shirt and threaten to turn him in to the authorities.That's when he hands you a potion of Luck and begs your forgiveness.
"Don't do it again,"you say as you leave with the potion.
一个外貌奸猾的商人在路边开了一个商店。今天，他在卖魔法药水，当你研究它们时你发现他是一个骗子。你抓住这个人的衬衣威胁要把他交给法官。当他拿出一瓶幸运药水给你求你饶恕他时；

魔力药水Potion of Mana：
A tall mage suddenly appears in front of you,and by his expression he must be running from someone or some thing.He bumps into you,excuses himself and look around.
"I'm not supposed to be here!"he says,and disappears in the blink of an eye.
On the ground at your feet,you find a Potion of Mana.Too bad it's too late to give it back to the fellow.
一个高大的魔法师突然出现在你面前，他的表情好像他在找人或者东西。他撞到了你，他一边四处张望一边道歉。
“我想不在这里！”他说，然后一眨眼不见了。
在你脚下的地上，你找到一瓶魔力药水。不幸的是你不可能把它还给那个人了。

欢笑药水Potion of Mirth：
A group of young apprentices sit around a dying campfire laughing so hard they have tears dripping from their eyes.When you greet them,they just giggle among themselves.It's obvious that they've had a few too many Potions of Mirth.You do them a favor by taking the last one.
一群年轻的学徒围坐在篝火旁大笑的流出了眼泪。当你向他们问候时，他们只是傻笑着。很明显他们用了太多的欢笑药水。你为了帮助他们而拿走了最后一瓶。

急速药水Potion of Quickness：
you spot a man cradling another,crying and weeping.When you inquire what happened,he explains,"We were testing those potions.It was an accident...I moved too fast.Oh,I killed my own brother!Take that Potion of Quickness from my sight!"You oblige the grief-struck man.
你看到一个人不停的摇动另一个人，痛哭流涕。你讯问发生了什么事情，他解释道，“我们在试验那些药剂时，发生了事故……我移动地太快了。噢，我杀死了自己的兄弟！把这瓶急速药水从我的视线中拿走！”你听从了那个伤心欲绝的人。

抵抗药水Potion of Resistance：
To your great pleasure,you witness a battle between two powerful looking sorcerers.One seems to take no damage from the other's attacks,and wins when he encases his opponent in ice.
"How did you do that?"you ask the winner.
He smiles and strokes his scruffy red goatee.
"This,"he says,tossing you a Potion of Resistance,"kept his spells from hurting me."
And then he goes on his way,whisling happily.
很荣幸，你见证了两个看上去很强大的术师之间的战斗。一个看上去几乎不受另一个人攻击的伤害，当他用冰把对手围住时他取得了胜利。

You see the dust before you actually see the man,then suddenly you jump out of his way to avoid colliding with him.Amazing!He's running-not on a fast horse as you had expected.You'll never catch him even if you wanted to.And there on the ground is a bottle that must've dropped from the hasty man's gear.
你看到那个人之前看到的是一片灰尘，为了避免和他相撞你突然跳了下去。令人吃惊！他在跑——而不是你想象的骑在一匹快马上面。你不可能赶上他即使想这样。地上有一个瓶子，它一定是从那个健步如飞的人身上掉下来的。

力量药水Potion of Strength：
An oily salesman offers you a good deal on one of his potions.To prove that it actually works,he drinks one and lifts the side of his wagon with a single hand.
"I'll take it!"you say.
It's not until much later that you realize the ring your grandfather gave you is missing-a poor trade for a Potion of Strength.
一个油腔滑调的推销员在他的一种药水上给你一笔很好的交易。为了证实它真的很有效，他喝下一瓶然后用一只手抬起了他货车的一边。

You stop to watch a boxing match between two seemingly evenly matched opponents.You even place a bet.But soon you realize your fighter is going to lose.What is that they keep feeding the other boxer between rounds?That isn't water!You sneak close to the ring and steal one of the bottles,finding a Potion of Toughness.Well,this should more than compensate you for your loss.
你停下看一场看上去势均力敌的拳击比赛。你甚至下了赌注。但是你很快意识到你下注的选手要输了。

Lying just off the side of the road is a dead man,the victim of a terrible mistake.Somehow he mislabeled one of his potions and drank a Vial of Acid instead of a Potion of Healing!You discover another Vial of Acid among his things,carefully label it correctly,and add it to your supplies.
躺在路边的是一个死人，一个可怕错误的牺牲品。不知何故他弄错了药水的标签喝下了硫酸而不是康复药水！你在他的东西中找到了另一批酸液。你把它仔细的做上标签，放进你的供应品中。

粘结剂Vial of Binding Liquid：
You find a nest of spiders-more than you have ever seen in one place before!You watch them for a while,ignoring the chills running down your spine.And then you notice a forgotten vial of Binding Liquid among the webs.This'spider farm'must be an alchemist's doing,and today you benefit from his clumsiness.
你突然发现一个蜘蛛巢穴——你以前肯定从来没有见过这样的地方！看了一会儿，你忘记了背脊上冒出的凉气，在蛛网的中间你发现了一瓶被人遗忘的粘结剂。这个“蜘蛛农场”一定是一位炼金术士的杰作，而今天你成为了受益者。

迷雾瓶Vial of Blinding Smoke：
A thick fog blocks the path.When you hear an old woman shouting incoherently,you charge inside and discover it's smoke.You are forced to wait until it clears before you find a poor boy desperately trying to get away from the old woman's punishment."No smoke is going to keep me from tanning your hide,boy!"she yells,grabbing the naughty child by the ear.She checks his pockets,finds a Vial of Blinding Smoke,and tosses it your way.
浓雾封锁了道路。你听到一个老妇人无条理地大喊大叫，你冲了进去发现它在冒烟。在你看到一个可怜孩子在努力摆脱老妇人的惩罚之前，你被迫停下等它变得清楚。“烟雾一散我就能找到你在哪儿，孩子！”她大叫，抓住那个淘气孩子的耳朵。她搜了他的口袋，找出一瓶失明烟雾瓶并把它扔给了你。

A dirty man on the side of the road begs for your help.Times have been tough on this poor farmer.He's willing to trade a Vial of Choking Gas for whatever food you can give him.You stop and hand over half of yout rations,but when you try to refuse the Choking Gas he gives it to you anyway because he doesn't need it.
路边一个脏兮兮的人请求你帮助。时代对这个可怜的农民很残忍。他愿意用窒息毒气瓶和你给他的任何食物交换。你停下来拿出你食物的一半，当你试图不要毒气瓶时，他仍然给了你，因为他不需要它。

毒液瓶Vial of Poison：
Two shady looking men loiter near the path,trying and failing to appear innocent.Their ambush comes as no surprise.You easily fend off their attack and recover a Vial of Poison dropped during the scuffle.
两个阴险的人装作清白的样子在路边徘徊。他们的埋伏一点都不让人吃惊。你很容易就制服了他们并且发现了一瓶混战中掉下来的毒液瓶。

学徒手册Apprentice's Handbook:
Stopping by an inn for a bite of something other than rations,you notice that one of the legs of your table is shorter than the others.Currently,a ragged looking book holds everything straight.You kick the book out,pocket it,and finish your meal.Later,you take another look at the mistreated tome,realizing it is an Apprentice's Handbook.

The elf frees you from his trap,and as a way of apologizing gives you the Spider's Silk Arrow he used to subdue you.

A shifty promoter with tall hair has set up a boxing match on the side of the road.You can't believe your eyes when you see a halfing about to face an ogre.That's hardly a fair fight,especially since someone has placed a Badge of Courage on the halfing's back.You sneak up,snatch away the Badge, and escape in all the confusion when the halfing forfeits.

You enter a quiet village and try to purchase an apple from a vendor only to discover it costs 70 gold!You refuse to pay,but soon you realize all the prices in this town are outrageous.It seems the town has access to a Bag of Gold that is causing all this inflation.So,when the mayor secretly asks you to 'steal'the bag from them,you are more than happy to oblige.
你来到一个安静的村庄，打算买一个苹果，却发现它需要70金币！你不想买了，之后很快你发现这个城镇所有的价格都十分离谱，似乎是因为这个城镇有黄金袋，造成了通货膨胀。所以当镇长悄悄要你去“偷”走他们的袋子的时候，你很高兴能效劳。

You see a magical crown in the middle of the path.By the time you dismount,however,a skinny man jumps from cover.He whips off his Cap of knowledge and dons the crown.
"Finally,I can get rid of this stupid hat!"he shouts,throwing it at you.Then he disappears into the wilderness.
你看到路的中间有一个魔法帽。当你下马的时候，一个小个子男人从隐蔽处跳了出来。他脱掉他的知识帽，捡起了地上的帽子。

Whoever left this Cart of Lumber behind must've either been in a hurry or so rich they wouldn't miss it.You fix the broken wheel that caused it to be left behind,hitch a draft to it and ride off.
那些丢掉木材马车的人，要么就是太匆忙，要么就是富得流油，否则他们不会丢掉的。你把那破车轮装上，这就是它被扔掉的原因了，然后你拉住驮马，骑上它扬长而去。

矿石马车Cart of Ore：
Waiting at the side of the road is a dwarf on a Cart of Ore.He jumps down as you near him,smiles at you widely.
"Today's your lucky day,"he says.
"Why?"you respond suspiciously.
"Because I'm under orders to give this cart to the first person that comes along-it's a punishment for...something I did.Anyway,here you are.It's yours!"
一个矮人坐在矿石马车上，在路边等着。当你走近他的时候，他跳下来，向你微笑，说：“今天你很走运。”

You find a baby robin in the middle of the path.It must've fallen from its nest.You gently pick up the bird with your cloak so you don't get your scent on it,climb the tree,and deposit it back in its home.But what's this?Poking from the twigs of the nest it a Crytal of Memory.You snatch the crystal,climb down and sneak away like a common thief before the robin's mother returns.
你发现一只小知更鸟在路中间。它一定是从巢里掉下来的。你小心地把它放在斗篷里，不让它沾上你的气味，然后爬上树，把它放回它的家。但这是什么？在巢里藏着一个记忆水晶。你悄悄拿走水晶，爬下树，然后像普通的小偷一样，在知更鸟妈妈回来前偷偷溜走。

大卫投石带David's Sling：
At first,you think it's a strip of cloth hanging from a bush-perhaps something torn from the cloak of a traveler.But it turns out to be David's Sling.How fortunate!
一开始，你以为那不过是谁的斗篷上撕下来的一块破布挂在灌木丛上。但是很快你就发现那原来是大卫投石带。今天是多么幸运啊！

You find a patch of dandelions and suddenly recall a scene from your childhood.Nostalgic,you run at the flowers and start kicking off their heads.As you come to the last one,you wind up from a terrific blow,and shout."...and her HEAD POPPED OFF!"The dandelion soars into the air,and some of the grass lands on your shoulder.When you pick it off you find a Four Leaf Clover!

It's an odd spot for a brawl,but two men are fighting each other on the path in front of you.They seem to be an even match,and no one has drawn a weapon yet,so you stop to watch.Finally,one of them falls to the ground,unconscious.The other takes a Gambler's Deck from the other's pocker and throws it away,saying,"No more gambing!"You quietly pick up the deck and continue on your way.

A chill runs down your spine and the hairs on the back of your neck suddenly stand on end.Danger is near.A Dragon perhaps-something so dangerous that you can sense its presence.For a moment,you consider fleeing just to be on the safe side.But the closer you get to that rock,the stronger these emotions gets.So,you lift the rock to find an Amulet of Fear.The moment you touch,however,all the feelings subside.

你的脊梁冒起一股寒气，头发全都竖起。危险在靠近。也许是一条龙，那是危险的动物，以至于你能感觉到它的存在。这个时刻，你想逃到一个安全的地方。但是你离那块石头越近，那种感觉越强烈。所以，你离开石头，去寻找恐惧护生符。在你碰到它的时候，所有害怕的感觉都消失了。


天使之刃 Angle's Blade

At first,the reek of sulfur nearly chokes you,so you cover your nose and mouth.When you continue,you find a fiery pit billowing a sluggish black smoke into the air.Lava bubbles up from the hole,spreading toward you slow enough that you can easily step away.And then the magma retreats back into the hole,leaving an Angel's Blade at your feet!

And then he hands you the Ankh and parts ways.

Your path takes you through a hamlet barely worth mentioning,except for the tired teenage boy shackled to the stocks at the edge of town.Beneath his face is a Brazier of Sulfur.The odor coming from it is strong enough to gag you.You don't know what the boy did,but this is extreme.So,you set him free and take the Brazier with you.

你沿着路穿过一个不值一提的小村庄，一个十几岁疲惫的男孩被拷在城镇边的树干上。在他的脸下是硫磺火盆。从里面释放出来的气味足以将你窒息。你不知道那个男孩做了什么，但是这已经足够了。所以你把他放了，并拿走了那个火盆。

"Stand back!"he shouts at the guards surrounding him."If I pour these together,we all die!"Since the mad alchemist hasn't noticed you yet,you charge forward and swipe the Flask of Mercury from his hand.Immediately,the guards seize the criminal and carry him away-thanking you for your help.

一群人集聚在这。一定发生了神秘事情。你小心的靠近那，看到一个瘦小的人拿着两个瓶子，高举在头顶。

The pompous baroness of this land gets her power from her wealth,and that wealth comes from her magical Gem Casket.So you sneak into her manor,subdue her guards,and take her most valuable possession knowing that soon her cruel rule would come to an end.

一声女人的尖叫把你引到塔楼边，一个穿着漂亮的女人正在窗户前摇晃。你进去塔楼，爬上楼梯，只发现一个骑士缩在角落里。你迅速地把那女子拉进来，她马上锤打着她的保护者，从他的胸前拿走那枚荣誉勋章，递给你，轻蔑地说：“想象一下，一个骑士还怕高。我差点死了！”


精神之盾 Mind Shield

You stop at a tavern for a quick drink,but when you leave you find an odd-looking helm that could only be a Mind Shield in the stable where you left your horse.Beneath the Mind Shield is a note saying,"Sorry,needed a horse badly!Hope this is enough payment."You would be more upset over losing a horse,except you found that one this morning and only rode it to this tavern to give your normal steed a break.

They look at each other,dumbfounded,and lower their swords.One of them gives you his Statesman's Medal for your peaceful solution,and the two men depart to talk to the poor woman.

一只小鹿进入了你的视野，非常非常缓慢地游荡着，又再次进了灌木丛中。奇怪的现象。你从来没有看到有移动这么迟缓的鹿，特别是它那视野开阔的眼睛里还充满着恐惧神情。它的腰窝里面有一支箭。不久，一个猎人钻了出来，但是当他看到你的时候惊声尖叫着跑了，把瓦尔德的懒惰之弓丢在了地上。
